RNC reveals exclusive host and moderators for upcoming GOP debate

-

Just after the third Republican presidential primary debate, a press release announced the location and host of the fourth installment scheduled for December.

“Today, the Republican National Committee (RNC) announced that it has selected NewsNation, The Megyn Kelly Show on SiriusXM, the Washington Free Beacon and Rumble as partners for the fourth Republican presidential primary debate, which will take place in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. on December 6, 2023,” the RNC announced in a Thursday press release.

The news, just a day after the third primary debate in Miami, which was moderated by NBC’s Lester Holt and Kristen Welker, revealed that this time, questions to the candidates would come from SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly, NewsNation’s Elizabeth Vargas and Washington Free Beacon. Eliana Johnson.

“It will be the margarita of the debates: spicy, fun and a little intoxicating. Wishing it would come.” – Megyn Kelly said in a statement.

“I am thrilled to announce that the RNC has sanctioned the fourth Republican Primary Debate in Alabama with NewsNation, The Megyn Kelly Show, Washington Free Beacon and Rumble as partners. With less than a year to go from Election Day on 2024, the fourth debate will showcase our winning Republican agenda against Biden’s record of failure.” – RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement.

McDaniel made headlines after GOP hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy criticized his leadership on the debate stage, calling on him to apologize to Americans and resign. He also called out the “corrupt media” and argued that more conservative voices should be chosen as moderators.

Sean Compton, president of Nexstar Networks, which includes the CW network, announced in a letter to staff that it was a “major milestone for our network.”

Former President Donald Trump can continue to refuse to participate in debates, and the last time he participated in one with Kelly moderating was in 2016, when the two infamously sparred over some of his questions. The former Fox News anchor has moderated five debates in the Republican primaries throughout her journalistic career.
