FOrmer championship swimmer turned women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines said it’s time to “take a knee” at the start of athletic events “to protect the integrity of women’s sports.”
“It’s unfortunate, of course, to ask girls to do that, but we have to start making sacrifices if they want to protect the integrity of women’s sports,” Gaines told Hannity about the need to resist the participation of biological males who identify as women. in women’s sport. “Both female and male athletes, honestly, they need to start boycotting, they need to take a knee, they don’t run, they don’t swim when that starting block or when the gun goes off.”

The Biden administration has proposed changes to Title IX that would make it a violation to ban transgender athletes from competing in their gender-identified sports. The new regulation is currently in its 30-day public comment period.
Triple Olympic cyclist Inga Thompson has also called to protest policies that allow transgender athletes to compete in women’s sports.
Time for Women Cyclists to start protesting the @UCI_cycling policy. Start putting a knee on the starting lines. Team managers must speak up and protect their drivers. Hold “Save Women’s Sports” signs at every race. https://t.co/BIn3cSKPJm

“It’s time for the Woman Cyclist to start protesting [Union Cycliste Internationale] Politics,” Thompson tweeted Sunday after bicyclist Austin Killips, a biological male cyclist who identifies as a transgender woman, won the Tour of the Gila general category against biological women. “Start putting a knee in the output lines Team managers must speak up and protect their drivers. Hold ‘Save Women’s Sports’ signs at every race.
Thompson told Fox & Friends First that policies must be changed to protect “equality in women’s sports.”
“Science has been around for years. It has been actively ignored because they prefer inclusion over equity for women,” Thompson said.
Thompson said public pressure is starting to make a difference, as the UCI acknowledged it would reconsider its policies.

Gaines echoed Thompson’s sentiment: “A boycott is what’s going to have to be effective to make change. We’ve seen in the past that boycotts are like that; they’re effective. That’s what’s going to work.”
The public comment period for the Biden administration’s proposed Title IX changes will end on May 15.
