RFK Jr. calls for the elimination of electronic voting machines, Elon Musk agrees

-

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. he called for the elimination of electronic voting machines, an issue that like his criticism of vaccines, is sure to make the establishment squirm.

Not one to shy away from raising issues considered taboo by the corrupt media, the independent presidential candidate pointed to recent problems with elections in Puerto Rico to call for a return to paper voting, a system that worked perfectly before the era of technology .

Sharing an Associated Press story about the US territory's problems with machines running Dominion Voting Systems software, the long-shot candidate took to the X platform with his call to return to the standard of long history of paper ballots and a vow that if elected, his administration would return to the future restoring the old system.

“Puerto Rico's primary election just experienced hundreds of voting irregularities involving electronic voting machines, according to the Associated Press. Fortunately, there was a paper trail, so the problem was identified and correct vote counts,” Kennedy wrote, asking, “What happens in jurisdictions where there is no paper trail?

“American citizens need to know that all their votes were counted and that their election cannot be hacked. We must return to ballots to prevent electronic interference with elections. My administration will require paper ballots and we will ensure honest and fair elections,” RFK Jr. said.

According to the Associated Press report he referred to: “More than 6,000 Dominion voting machines were used in the Puerto Rico primary, and the company claimed that the software problems stemmed from the digital files used to export the results of the machines”.

“The concern is that obviously we have an election in November, and we have to provide the island with not only the assurance that the machine produces a correct result, but also that the result it produces is the same result that is communicated,” he said . Jessika Padilla, interim president of Puerto Rico's election commission, who said she is “reviewing” her contract with the voting machine company.

One prominent person who thought getting rid of the machines was a good idea was billionaire SpaceX/Tesla CEO and X owner Elon Musk.

“We must eliminate the electronic voting machines. The risk of being hacked by humans or AI, while small, is still too high,” he said.

For some old enough to remember the days when election results were known the next morning, it is hard to see how they could not be suspicious of a much more technologically advanced system, but in some cases the winner is not known . for days or even weeks.

It is hardly a system that instills confidence in the legitimacy of elections, especially this year.

Then there was Dilbert creator Scott Adams, who has his own opinion about the machines and what they are intended to do.

“What are the voting machines for? Does it make things safer? No, it makes it less safe. Does it give you results faster? No, it doesn't. Reduce your cost? Obviously not, paper is pretty cheap and by the way even when you use the voting machines it still creates paper. You don't even save paper in most cases,” Adams said on a recent edition of his podcast.

“Now tell me, given all these complaints from Puerto Rico…why do we have them?” Adams asked.

“I've never heard anyone explain the point of machines unless they're designed for the purpose of throwing elections… It's not faster, cheaper or more reliable, so what's the point? Why am I the only one person asking the shitty question?” Adams asked.
