Michigan Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib released a video Friday featuring pro-Gaza protesters calling for the removal of the Israeli state.
the video, published on Tlaib X’s account, shows a number of different protests across the country, including one in Michigan where protesters can be heard chanting the Palestinian phrase “from the river to the sea.” The phrase refers to a call for the total elimination of the Israeli state, which stretches from the Jordan River in the east to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. seconds to the American Jewish Committee.
The phrase has also been used by terrorist groups, including Hamas, which carried out attacks against Israel on Oct. 7 that killed more than 1,400 Israelis, according to the American Jewish Committee. The video also shows overlays of text calling for a ceasefire and explicitly accusing Biden of “supporting the genocide of the Palestinian people.”

The video shows protesters in Illinois chanting “No peace on stolen land” and protesters in Ohio chanting “Occupy must go.” Footage of the protests is interspersed with Tlaib examining President Joe Biden for supporting Israel’s right to defend itself.
“Mr. President, the American people are not with you on this,” Tlaib says in the video. “We will remember this in 2024.”
Tlaib has been accused of promoting anti-Semitism following the terrorist attacks by Hamas on October 7. He voted against a House resolution to condemn Hamas and repeated without basis claims that Israel bombed a hospital in the Gaza Strip, even after it was found to have been hit by a faulty Hamas rocket.
Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced a resolution in October to censure Tlaib for promoting anti-Semitism and “hatred of Israel.” The resolution was introduced Wednesday in a 222-186 vote.
Tlaib did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
