With the Iowa caucuses just around the corner, pollster Frank Luntz was asked, “If you had to bet $150,000 on who is going to win in November, who would you bet on?”
The longtime “Never-Trumper” reacted like he was in dire need of some Pepto Bismol.
“I never dreamed I'd say this, but I'm rooting for Trump,” he grudgingly admitted. “I never… I thought it was done. I thought it was over.”
“You don't come back from an impeachment,” he reasoned. “Don't come back from January 6. don't come back none of this.”
“But he's back,” Luntz said, his voice little more than a defeated whisper. “The guy is a survivor and his opponent is having so many problems that, at this point, it would give Trump the edge.”
Anti-Trump pollster Frank Luntz, who has written a NYT guest article titled “How to Make Trump Go Away,” is fuming, as he would now bet that Donald Trump will win the 2024 election.

Luntz's frequent criticism of Trump has made him unpopular with many conservatives.
“Frank Luntz has always made me throw up a little in my mouth,” said one X user. “How he got a job in front of a camera baffles me.”

But many were delighted by the poll's ability to underestimate the MAGA movement.
“I never realized how much they underestimated this movement. They honestly thought we were all going to get away with it,” noted one user. “Love this!”

Others praised Luntz for his honesty.
It's nice to see people put aside their pride for once. You don't see that anymore.

But any olive branch that might have been extended Luntz's path likely snapped like dead branches after he blasted Republican voters in Iowa on Fox News' “Your World” with Neil Cavuto.
Luntz was discussing the impact of the chilly, subzero weather on voter turnout.
“There are two groups that are affected when it gets this cold,” he told Cavuto. “Young voters, ages 18 to 29, are less likely to vote in bad weather. Their turnout is always suspect.”
Young voters will be affected, and according to Luntz, Republicans are barely alive to begin with.
“And at a Republican event,” he said, “the average age of a caucus voter is, frankly, dead.”
“Now,” Luntz continued, “the other group that's affected by this is the over-70s — people who would vote if it was more conducive to going outside.”
