Peter Doocy reveals what WH did after Biden insulted him; then the law professor explains how he might “magnify” Biden’s problems

-

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy revealed Thursday how the White House responded to President Joe Biden insulting him once more.

Wrapping up an event in New Mexico on Wednesday, Doocy asked Biden about Devon Archer’s testimony. The president responded by calling Doocy’s question “bad” — expressing regret for calling him out for a question — and saying the allegations are not true.

In an interview Thursday morning, Doocy explained what happened before and after the trade. He explained that he was the last person left in the press area after the event. Then Biden noticed him and started waving him around. An aide tried to stop Doocy, but Biden continued to wave at him, and the Secret Service cleared Doocy to leave the press area.

The viral exchange took place and then Doocy left. But that’s when it got interesting.

“As soon as I got back to the rental car in the parking lot … I overheard a White House official disputing the very premise of that question,” Doocy explained.

The White House apparently took issue with the framing of Doocy’s question because Archer did not specifically testify that Biden talked “business” with Hunter Biden’s business associates.

But as Doocy pointed out, while this is true seconds (at least, according to Archer’s testimony) — you still have to read between the lines.

“Devon Archer later came out to say, ‘It’s categorically false that then-Vice President Biden didn’t know what was going on with Hunter while all of this was going on,'” Doocy explained. “That’s why we asked the question we did “.

George Washington Law School professor Jonathan Turley later expressed concern that the White House’s response could “magnify” Biden’s problems.

“Doocy said the White House called him as soon as he got to his car to refute the details of the business allegations,” Turley wrote. said. “Using White House staff to repeat these positions could add to Biden’s problems.”

The Biden problem, according to Turleystems from what he believes is special counsel Jack Smith’s legal maneuver in the latest indictment of Donald Trump: “criminalizing campaign lies,” a tactic Turley believes could later be used against Biden.

“The very controversial axis used against Trump could be used against Biden, especially in the launch of an impeachment inquiry by House Republicans,” Turley said. he wrote in a column.

Indeed, in politics the old adage is true: what is good for the goose is good for the gander.
