Pelosi offers cryptic claim she “never called anybody” to arrange Biden's ouster

Nancy Pelosi wants America to know that those weren't her fingerprints on the knife that was buried in Joe Biden's back after he was stripped of the party's nomination in a successful coup.

The former speaker of the House pleaded not guilty that she was drumming up behind-the-scenes support to unseat the octogenarian incumbent who had insisted he would not drop out of the race against former President Donald J. Trump until the abrupt end of his campaign.

Pelosi sat down with CBS News' Lesley Stahl for an interview, a clip of which was released Saturday, and the longtime anchor pressed her about her conversation with Biden before she finally caved to pressure two weeks ago .

“Please tell us what you said to President Biden to persuade him to come on board,” Stahl invited the Democratic inspiration to share with viewers.

“Well, I've never shared any conversation with a president of the United States publicly,” Pelosi quipped, not saying she'd never tell the truth anyway.

Asked by Stahl to comment on reports that Biden was “furious” with her, Pelosi again declined to give a direct answer. “He knows I love him very much,” she replied.

“I understand you don't want to own this,” Stahl insisted. “But it was so well reported…that you were the leader of a lobbying campaign…”

“No, I was not the leader of any pressure [campaign],” Pelosi replied. “Let me say things I didn't do. I didn't call a single person. I didn't call a single person. I could always tell him, I never called anyone.”

Pelosi's top lieutenants, including Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), called for Biden to step down as head of CNN for reporting that the embattled president was “boiling” about how he believed she was working in the background to force him out.

“All of this, we're told, has President Biden seething, tonight, with much of his anger directed at Nancy Pelosi,” CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins told viewers shortly before the other dropped shoe “That's because some of the names calling for him to drop out of the race are his close allies.”

“It's up to the president to decide whether to run,” Pelosi said during an appearance on MSNBC. “We're all encouraging him to make this decision because time is running out. I think the overwhelming support of the caucus, it's not for me to say. I'm no longer the head of the caucus, but he's loved, he's respected and people He wants me to make that decision, not me.”

Was reportd that after weeks of pressure on Biden to withdraw, Barack Obama was the one to call him to inform Biden that the rioters were ready to invoke the 25th Amendment option with the approval of Vice President Kamala Harris. Faced with no other option, he gave in.

Pelosi may try to deny her involvement, but she stretches the belief that she had nothing to do with the unprecedented move against Biden and the undemocratic installation of Harris.
