Nancy Pelosi is having a rough weekend.
According to reports, former Speaker of the House booed by Baltimore football fans when it came to the Chiefs vs. Ravens and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (FAIR), a national Muslim advocacy group, is angry with her for suggesting that pro-Palestinian protesters pushing for a cease-fire in Gaza are actually puppets of Russian President Vladimir Putin and suggesting that the FBI investigate them.
In accordance with ReutersCAIR called Pelosi's remarks, made during an appearance on CNN's “State of the Union” with Dana Bash, as “baseless smears” that dehumanize the Palestinian people.
Bash asked Pelosi if she believed Democrats would be hurt in the 2024 election by President Biden's controversial policy on the Gaza war.
That's when the California Democrat explained that the problem wasn't Biden's politics or anti-Semitic supporters of radical terrorists, but Russia.
“For them to call for a ceasefire is Mr. Putin's message, Mr. Putin's message,” Pelosi said. “Make no mistake, this is directly related to what he would like to see.”
“The same with Ukraine,” he continued. “It's about Putin's message.”
“I think some of these protesters are spontaneous, organic and sincere,” he said. “Some I believe are connected to Russia. Some funding should be investigated and I want to ask the FBI to look into it.”
NEW: Someone went a little far today. Pelosi suggested that some pro-Palestinian protesters calling for a cease-fire in Gaza are spreading a message that is beneficial to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to Reuters, “Pelosi's comments were the first time a prominent U.S. lawmaker has accused the Russian leader of supporting U.S. protesters calling for a ceasefire.”
AX, Pelosi's comments were seen as further proof that she is “messed up”.
