A brutal attack on a Florida teenager by a group of students was captured on disturbing video, which showed the boy being dropped on concrete headfirst.
Coral Springs police responded to the incident that started as a “fight” near Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where the victim attends school. The Parkland school is the site of one of the nation's worst mass shootings when 17 students and staff were killed in 2018.
The victim, a white teenager who has not been identified, was reportedly unconscious after he was allegedly struck by another teenager who had carried him over his shoulder, according to reports. WSVN. Cell phone video shows other teenagers trying to help before help arrived, and the student was rushed to the hospital with a fractured skull, according to police.

The video showed a “fight between MSD students at a park near Coral Springs that showed the man being jumped by several teenagers who were seen punching him hard,” WPLG reported.
“Eventually, the student was picked up by at least a few of his peers, who then threw him back to the ground, causing the male to land awkwardly on his neck and head, leaving him instantly limp,” in the broadcaster reported. “A crowd was seen forming around the chaos and additional cell phone video showed most of the students standing and recording the fight instead of calling for help.”

No arrests had been made at the time of writing, but an investigation was underway.
The school's principal, Michelle Kefford, clarified in a statement that the fight and assault occurred in a nearby park and not on school grounds, as some had speculated.
“I am reaching out regarding a disturbing incident that took place off campus, after school on Tuesday at North Community Park in Coral Springs,” Kefford began.
“Several students were involved in a physical altercation and one student was injured. Although this park is not school or district property, the safety of our students is always our priority, and we are working with law enforcement to help identify those involved. Due to the open investigation, I cannot provide additional details, but I want to assure you that this situation is being taken seriously,” the director wrote.
“Please remind your students to say something if they see something. As always, thank you for your support,” the letter concluded.
It's not just North Community Park! This is the Junior car park where our children pay to park to go to SCHOOL. Our children must be protected and the children who did this must be arrested!!

It wasn't just a fight. A boy was jumped by a large group of boys, picked up and hit on the head, taken by ambulance to the hospital with a fractured skull. My kids have to walk through this park every day to school. Something must be done!
