Op-Ed: God Made the Rainbow for His Glory – It’s Time We Take It Back

The rainbow has long been a symbol of hope and promise. In the biblical story of Noah and the flood, the rainbow served as a symbol of God’s covenant with Noah that he would never again destroy the earth with a flood. However, in recent years, the rainbow has been co-opted by the LGBT community as a symbol of pride and acceptance.

As a Christian, I believe that God created the rainbow for his own glory and it is time for us to take it back. The rainbow is not just a symbol, it is a reflection of God’s character and love for his creation. Every time we see a rainbow, we should be reminded of God’s faithfulness and his promise to never again destroy the earth.

The LGBT community has tried to redefine the rainbow as a symbol of their own agenda. They claim that it represents diversity and acceptance of all sexual orientations and gender identities. But we must remember that God’s design for sexuality is clear in the Bible. He created man and woman to be joined together in marriage and to procreate. Any deviation from that design is a distortion of God’s plan.

It is not our job to judge those who have embraced the LGBT lifestyle. Our job as Christians is to love them and share the truth of God’s word with them. It is our responsibility to stand up for God’s design for marriage and sexuality.

Taking back the rainbow as a symbol of God’s promise is just one small step in the battle for our culture’s moral compass. We must be willing to speak up and resist the constant push to redefine righteousness and morality. We must stand firm on the truth of God’s word, even if it means being persecuted or ridiculed.

God made the rainbow for his glory, not for the promotion of sinful lifestyles. Let us take it back and use it as a reminder of his love and faithfulness.
