During a segment on Fox News with Maria Bartiromo, Peter Schweizer, president of the Government Accountability Institute, delved into the political rise of Kamala Harris and former President Barack Obama's possible influence within the Democratic Party. Schweizer argued that Obama played a role in Harris' rise and suggested he orchestrated a coup to oust Joe Biden.
Maria Bartiromo began the discussion by outlining Kamala Harris' political journey, stating, “Kamala Harris' eyes within the Democratic Party will be on full display at next month's DNC convention in Chicago, when she is expected to receive the official nomination. Just 20 years ago, Kamala became district attorney in San Francisco after defeating her former boss, Terrence Helen, in a runoff with the support of former San Francisco Mayor and Assembly Speaker Willie Brown. From there, she became Attorney General of California, United States Senator, and eventually Vice President of the United States.”

Peter Schweizer responded by highlighting the long relationship between Harris and Obama. “Yeah, great question, Maria. Look, Barack Obama and Kamala Harris met before he was a US senator and before she was actually a district attorney in San Francisco, so there's a long history. And If you look at Kamala Harris' rise in politics, there are a couple of things that stand out. One is that she is loyal to those who put her there. And number two, she is ready to do the bidding of the money they put her there. And number two, she's ready to make the money they put her there.”
Schweizer detailed Harris' first political endorsement of Willie Brown, saying, “When he was district attorney in San Francisco in 2003, he ran against Terence Hallinan. Terence Hallinan was a progressive. The problem for Willie Brown is that he was investigating Willie Brown's friends for fraud and a host of other charges. Willie Brown didn't like that, so he put his political machine and money behind Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris won this race thanks to l 'help of Willie Brown. And what did Kamala Harris do when she became district attorney? She dropped all those cases, those criminal cases against Willie Brown's political allies.
Schweizer continued, “She campaigned for Barack Obama in 2003 before he was in the United States Senate, and after she won that Illinois Senate seat, she went to San Francisco and raised money for Kamala Harris. So there's a close link, and that's why I think there's considerable evidence that Barack Obama is the one who essentially instituted this coup and made sure that Joe Biden was pushed aside and Kamala Harris was going to be the nominee.
Maria Bartiromo then asked about investigative reporter Seymour Hersh's report suggesting Obama threatened Biden with the 25th Amendment if he didn't resign. Schweizer noted, “Yeah, so I think you have to understand Barack Obama. That's the way he operates. You know, he's a very quiet politician. But you go back and look at State Senator Alice Palmer. She's be barack obama's mentor in chicago she was the one who introduced him to all the big money in chicago what did barack obama do in 1996 get her kicked out because she wanted the his seat in the Senate and occupied it.”
Schweizer added: “When you look at the current context today, what you see is a couple of things: the money, the big money of the Democratic Party. Who was the chairman of the Finance Committee for Joe Biden for his campaign ?It was Jeffrey Katzenberg, who was the finance chairman of Barack Obama. So the big money people in the Democratic Party are Obama people first, instead of Biden people.
Highlighting the internal dynamics of the White House, Schweizer said, “The second thing to understand is to look at the center of gravity of the White House itself. Yes, you have Steve Ricchetti and a couple of close aides around Joe Biden, but this is essentially barack obama's white house remember that picture from just a couple of years ago when barack obama visited the white house, and there's the current president joe Biden, alone.
When pressed by Bartiromo about the 25th Amendment threat, Schweizer concluded, “Yes, that is certainly what Seymour Hersh is reporting. I don't have the same evidence, but it will certainly fit the Barack Obama pattern.”
