Newsom rides his own rake by saying Republicans believe 'rapists have more rights' than victims

-

Radically far-left California Governor Gavin Newsom has sparked a backlash for accusing Republicans of caring more about rapists than their victims.

He made the disparaging comments during a CNN discussion Friday with Jake Tapper about the right-leaning Alabama Supreme Court's decision to label frozen embryos “children.”

As a result of the decision, clinics in Alabama that offer in vitro fertilization (IVF) have stopped their services because the procedure often involves the use of unused embryos.

Listen to CNN's discussion below:

“As a result, several clinics in the state are pausing their IVF treatments [of Alabama Supreme Court’s decision]. You described the decision as “Malatian”. What will the Democrats do about it? Tapper asked Newsom during Friday's debate.

“Well, we'll continue on the attack,” Newsom replied. “We are supported by the American people. We have a backup after Dobbs. You just see the Republican Party championing this issue for a good reason because the American people have had it. This extremism manifested the ultimate extremism in the issue that affects one in six people who experience fertility problems in their lifetime This is profound.

“And you talk about freedom. Forgive me the Republican Party in this gospel of freedom. What about family freedom? What about the right of people who want to start a family? And think about that, Jake. You know, everyone knows that. You've seen the stats: 65,000 rape births since Dobbs in 14 states. Apparently, what the Republican Party is saying is that rapists have more rights to make these babies than families who are desperately trying to have the privilege that you and I have had as parents.,” added.

“It's a shame, and it's a political problem for them, but it's a moral issue. And I found what happened in Alabama disgusting. And by the way, you have an AG in Alabama who is also promoting a travel ban that wants to criminalize travel for anyone seeking an abortion out of state. This is how extreme the state of the Republican Party is”, he continued.

There's just one problem, critics say: It has no room to speak. After all, this is the same governor who four years ago signed a bill protecting child rapists.

“SB 145 would allow a sex offender who attracts a minor with intent to commit a crime (ie, a sexual act) the ability to escape sex offender registration as long as the offender is under 10 years of age of the minor's age”. the Globe of California reported in 2020.

He's also the same governor who in 2020 signed a bill allowing so-called “transgender women” to be incarcerated with real women. Since the law was signed, several inmates have been attacked and even raped by “transgender women.”

“Krystal Gonzalez, one of four inmates who sued to overturn the law, testified that she received no recourse after one of the 'transgender' takes [at her person] they sexually assaulted her,” she said Washington Free Beacon reported last year.

“When she reported the abuse, the guards did not even acknowledge that a man had committed the act, referring to him as a 'transgender woman with a penis,'” according to the Beacon.

“This makes my distress worse because I don't think they can really evaluate my grievance if they pretend that women can have penises,” Gonzalez said. “This man raped me, and when the prison tries to tell me that I was a woman, I feel violated again.”

Other inmates, meanwhile, said state government-funded prison guards always seemed to side with “transgender women.”

“This was the experience of Sagal Sadiq… who witnessed a 6'3″ man being transferred regularly looking at a prison in the bathroom. Sadiq reported the offense to the guards, but they did not do nothing,” notes the Beacon.

“When the abused inmate confronted Sadiq about the complaint, guards responded by frisking Sadiq, the inmate who was being spied on, and a third inmate who intervened on behalf of the victim. All three were then placed in solitary confinement.” , according to the Beacon.

A governor whose state treats women so badly has no room to talk about Republicans, especially considering how many Republicans, including former President Donald Trump, oppose the Alabama Supreme Court ruling:
