With the coining of the phrase “mostly peaceful protests,” a new era of gaslighting was born that easily turned a blind eye to violence and mayhem if the ends justified the means. Now, the non-profit group New Tolerance Campaign has launched its interactive 'Hate Map' so the public can see for themselves where 'hard-left extremism' is occurring and who is responsible.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, 501(c)(3) president Gregory Angelo, formerly of the Log Cabin Republicans, explained, “Today there are organizations and individuals on the left across the country who are promoting, inspiring and in some cases directly engaging in physical violence against those with whom they disagree.”

According to the watchdog's website, “The New Tolerance Campaign tracks hate and hard-left extremism in America today. Our work is designed to be used as a media resource , officials and the general public”, and the map aimed to provide users with an “unbiased and detailed account of incidents, ensuring a more balanced and comprehensive perspective”.
Linked to facilitating political violence, “perpetrated by leftist organizations,” such as Jane's Revenge, GLAAD, Black Lives Matter and TRANTIFA, Angelo specifically called the Southern Poverty Law Center “kind of a partisan brawl.”
“Whether it's corporate boardrooms that have been infected by the virus of the awakened mind, whether it's colleges and universities that continue to drift ever leftward, or activist nonprofits like the ACLU and the Southern Poverty Law Center, which basically just started carrying water for the progressive left of the United States, the institutions have been occupied by leftist forces for decades,” he said.
Examples provided included the 2017 shooting of Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise when the suspect, said to be a supporter of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, targeted Republicans practicing for the annual congressional baseball game.
Likewise, Angelo brought up the 2012 shooting at the Family Research Council and, of course, the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump among the countless astroturf protests routinely witnessed across the country.
“They were not isolated events. They are part of a wider pattern of hatred and violence promoted by the left,” said the president of the NTC. “We will continue cataloging hatred and the promotion of violence in the 'left. Unfortunately, I don't think that number will go down anytime soon. If anything, we'll be here as a resource for members of the media, elected officials, ordinary Americans and people in academia. use it in their investigations when it comes to spreading hate throughout the country.”
