New FBI data makes Gavin Newsom's gun control talking points sound silly [VIDEO]

The heavily gun-controlled state of California has officially taken the top spot in “active shooter incidents” for 2023, according to new data released by the FBI.

In the FBI report, a total of 48 incidents were classified as active shooter incidents in 2023. Surprisingly, California accounted for a staggering 8 of the 48 incidents, making it the nation's leading state, as reported Fox News.

“Notably, California had the highest number of active shooter incidents with eight. Shooting locations were open spaces, places of business and schools,” he noted. ABC News in response to the FBI's findings.

Even in the face of strict gun control laws, California has managed to maintain its consistent lead in active shooter incidents. As Fox News also noted, “California, which has some of the toughest gun control laws in the country, led the way with eight incidents.”

This is not the first time California has found itself in this position. Previous FBI data from 2021 revealed the state led the U.S. in active shooter incidents with six such cases, it reported. Breitbart News.

Adding an extra layer of irony to this situation is the fact that California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) has continually touted the supposed success of gun control measures in his state while taking jabs at other states, like Florida, because of its perceived loose gun. laws

However, the contrast is evident when comparing FBI data on active shooter incidents. In 2023, Florida experienced only two such incidents, just a quarter of the incidents reported in Newsom's state.

The latest statistics serve as a reminder that despite California's strict gun control measures, the state still faces a significant number of active shooter incidents, raising questions about the effectiveness of these restrictive laws to address gun violence.
