Lefties are mad because a smart orthodontist in North Carolina is offering a free gun to his clients seeking their Invisalign treatment.
Located in Wake Forest, Jason Gladwell of Gladwell Orthodontics is offering, as part of a promotion specifically to customers who purchase his Invisalign teeth realignment services, whether it’s a membership to the Youngsville Gun Club & Range or a free Glock 19, according to the local news station. WRAL.
The promotion has already caused quite a stir, with left-wing terrorists raging at X for Gladwell’s shrewd business decision.
Specific case:
I wish this was a joke. A fucking orthodontist in Wake Forest, North Carolina, offering a gun for invisalign treatment. Someone needs to let Caldwell Orthodontics know that this is an irresponsible and bad idea. pic.twitter.com/4XvVAo0zZb

There are no words to describe how hateful this is.

this Is. It’s not normal. I can’t imagine living abroad and coming to the US as a tourist.

Will your office be liable for any wrongdoing if these weapons are used in a crime? This is ridiculous!

If anyone uses a Gladwell Orthodontics gifted gun in a crime at any time, they should be charged as an accessory and be liable for criminal and civil charges. #guns #Crime

@Invisalign Do you really realize this kind of practice with your brand? I mean, I can imagine that many jaws have been injured in shots that require specialized surgery and dental reconstruction, BUT, is that what you want your product to be associated with?

Notice how these critics have it in their heads that a gun can only be used to commit crimes, rather than being used to hunt animals or defend against an actual criminal.
The good news is that according to an in-depth investigation by WRAL, giving away a free gun as a promotion is legal, as long as Gladwell follows US gun laws.
“The concern here is that we’re not transferring firearms to people who don’t qualify to own them. It could be people with criminal records, mental health issues, drug and alcohol abuse issues, restraining orders against them , or in the case of a handgun, under the age of 21,” local attorney Ron Shook told WRAL.
“Guns are like other property; You can buy and sell them and dispose of them. But the difference is that guns are inherently potentially dangerous. Therefore, there is a regulation around the transfer of firearms,” he added.
He also admitted to finding similar promotions elsewhere over the years. A spokesman for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) said something similar.
“Generally, these transactions are coordinated through a licensed firearms dealer to ensure that a background check is performed and that the recipient can legally own a firearm. In other cases, deliver a gift card to the partner company so that the recipient can work directly with the licensed distributor in the purchase,” they explained.
According to Youngsville Gun Club & Range owner Kurt Lieberman, eligible Gladwell customers will have to visit the club and pass a background check, among other requirements, to obtain the gun.
“It’s a process. They must come; they must have a valid driver’s license. They must be a legal citizen; must be 21 years or older. We do a background check here on the site. This should return approved. They have to fill out all the paperwork,” Lieberman explained to WRAL.
Also, according to Gladwell, the promotion is only intended for customers who are already on the gun club’s email list.
“Not everyone who walks into our office will be eligible; it is not marketed to everyone. It is designed and marketed exclusively for the Youngsville Gun Club and Range. The promotion is non-transferable. The person actually starting Invisalign treatment must be really the eligible person,” he said.
Still, even with all these rules in place, haters like NC Council of Churches Executive Director Jennifer Copeland are gonna hate.
“They are giving away guns that are going to be lodged in a house somewhere and potentially create gun violence and gun death. It boggles my mind that an organization that I believe is trying to provide health care to people in the community associates their health care with gun death,” Copeland told WRAL.
“I’m glad they’re following the minimal gun laws we have in North Carolina. To be clear, they’re very minimal in North Carolina, but at least they’re going to follow them. The fact is, after they pass those checks, they’re going to give a gun to someone who he will take her home, and she will be in his home,” he added.
