Here’s a story that went unnoticed for years but deserves attention. In 2020, a 31-year-old Muslim immigrant doctor was arrested by the FBI for conspiring to become an ISIS-aligned “lone wolf” terrorist. This doctor, who entered the United States on an H-1B visa, used encrypted messaging to communicate with foreign terrorists. Initially, he had plans to meet in Syria, but that was thwarted due to COVID. He later agreed to meet with US terrorist agents, leading to his arrest by the FBI.
Remarkably, this person once held a position at the prestigious Mayo Clinic. He was recently sentenced to 18 years in prison for his actions.
It was a close call, and it just goes to show how dangerous it is to allow these radicals into our country. They are even dressed as doctors.
A Rochester man was sentenced today to 216 months in prison, the equivalent of 18 years, followed by five years of supervised release for attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization.
According to court documents, Muhammad Masood, 31, a physician licensed in Pakistan, had been employed as a research coordinator at a medical clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, on an H-1B visa. Between January 2020 and March 2020, Masood used an encrypted messaging app to facilitate his travel abroad to join a terrorist organization. Masood made several statements about his desire to join the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS), pledging his allegiance to the designated terrorist organization and its leader. Masood also expressed his desire to carry out “lone wolf” terrorist attacks in the United States. On February 21, 2020, Masood purchased a plane ticket from Chicago, Illinois, to Amman, Jordan, and planned to travel to Syria from there. On March 16, 2020, Masood’s travel plans changed because Jordan closed its borders to inbound travel due to the coronavirus pandemic. Masood then agreed to fly from Minneapolis to Los Angeles to meet a person he believed would help him travel on a cargo ship to deliver him to ISIS territory.
On March 19, 2020, Masood traveled from Rochester to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) to board a flight bound for Los Angeles, California. Upon arrival at MSP, Masood checked in for his flight and was subsequently arrested by the FBI’s Joint Task Force.
RELATED: 17 years in federal prison for tearing down a fence…
This terrorist has to serve 18 years behind bars, which reminds me of Joe Biggs. Biggs, an Iraq War veteran and recipient of two Purple Hearts, was sentenced to 17 years in prison for the “terrorist” act of cutting a fence at the Capitol on Jan. 6. Biggs will serve one year less than a foreign-born Muslim convicted of conspiring to join ISIS and kill innocent Americans. It’s mind boggling how our government treats a non-violent American war vet the same way as a guy who plans to join ISIS and murder innocent Americans. It is truly unfair and reprehensible what our government has become.
