Musk slams companies pulling ads from Platform X as form of blackmail: ‘Go do it yourself’

The richest man in the world has a message for those trying to “blackmail” him and X’s management into submission: “Go fuck yourself.”

Earlier this month, Musk was criticized for responding to a post on X with what some interpreted be an anti-Semitic statement. This, along with a recent report from the liberal body Media Matters, which claimed that company ads were appearing alongside white supremacist and neo-Nazi posts on X, prompted major advertisers including Apple, IBM, Lionsgate, Paramount Global, Sony and Warner. Bros. Discovery and Disney, to remove their ads from the platform.

Musk fired back at Media Matters with one 15 page demand alleging that the group “knowingly and maliciously fabricated” the side-by-side images “depicting advertiser posts on X Corp’s social media platform.” alongside the “marginal nationalist content”.

The billionaire later announced that X Corp giving “all advertising and subscription revenue associated with the Gaza war” to “Israel and Red Cross/Crescent hospitals in Gaza”.

And just a few days ago, Musk traveled to Tel Aviv to see the carnage wrought by Hamas for himself, meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Isaac Herzog and representatives of the hostages’ families.

But their efforts have done little to placate advertisers at X, likely because their “outrage” has less to do with anti-Semitism and more to do with crushing free speech and keeping global narratives intact.

Well, it looks like Musk has had enough of being harassed.

Appearing at the New York Times DealBook Summit, with Disney CEO Bob Iger and X CEO Linda Yaccarino in the audience, the entrepreneur addressed the ad boycott and his Nov. 15 post in which I agreed with a user who said: “Jewish communities”. [sic] they’ve been pushing the exact kind of dialectical anti-white hatred they say they want people to stop using against them.”

Fed up, Musk told host Ross Sorkin, “I hope they stop” the advertising.

“Don’t advertise yourself,” he said.

A stunned Sorkin replied, “You don’t want them to advertise?”

“No,” Musk said defiantly.

“If someone tries to blackmail me with advertising?” Musk said. “Blackmail me with money? Go screw yourself.”

“But…” Sorkin stammered.

“Go. shit Yourself,” Musk repeated. “Is that clear? I hope it is.”

And then he spoke directly to Disney’s CEO, who previously explained his decision to pull the media giant’s ads from the platform.

“Hello Bob!” he smiled. “If you are in the audience. That’s how I feel. Don’t advertise yourself.”

Sorkin tried again.

“If you believe that this is the only part of your business where you will be indebted to those who have this vision…”

“GFY,” Musk declared decisively.

According to the daily mailinternal X documents reveal that the loss of revenue from big-name advertisers “could cost the company $75 million.”

Musk admitted that the boycott could mean the end of his platform.

“What this advertising boycott will do is kill the business,” he said. “And the whole world will know that these advertisers killed the company.”

The post that spawned the latest attacks on Musk and X, in which he agreed with a user that “Jewish communities [sic] I’ve been pushing the exact kind of dialectical hate against white people that they say they want people to stop using against them,” essentially “handing a loaded gun to the people who hate me,” he said, adding that he “had no problem being hated”.

But at X, their “GFY” mentality is being hailed as an “epic” response to the strong-arming techniques of the global elite:

“The elite and western powers cannot control this man and therefore cannot control the narrative,” one user wrote. “I say it was epic.”
