Elon Musk is preparing to host a town hall on his social media platform X, in support of former President Donald Trump after the recent conviction. A reliable source familiar with the arrangements revealed at Wall Street Journal that Musk is partnering with NewsNation to stream the town hall event on X, formerly known as Twitter, where users will have the opportunity to submit questions for Trump to answer.
Additionally, the source revealed that another town hall event is underway in X for independent presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The Manhattan trial on Thursday found Trump guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records related to payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential race. In response to the trial's outcome, Musk expressed his concern for the consequences, stating that significant damage had been inflicted.
Musk used his X account to voice his opinion, commenting: “If a former president can face a criminal conviction for such a trivial matter, driven by political motives rather than the pursuit of justice, then no one is safe from a similar fate.”
Indeed, great damage was done today to the public's faith in the American legal system.
If a former president can be criminally convicted for such a trivial matter, motivated by politics rather than justice, then anyone is at risk of suffering a similar fate. https://t.co/zrHCyIZazh
