MTG says anti-Trump Republicans are being “eradicated” from the party

-

US Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene warned that the Republican Party is facing a referendum in comments that even the NBC hosts agreed with.

The feisty Republican from Georgia noted the pulse of the party ahead of a speech she delivered in New Hampshire following former President Donald Trump's landslide primary victory.

Speaking with NBC News' Vaughn Hillyard, Greene took notice of Trump's critics and predicted that the GOP will “eradicate” those who are not in line with his America-First vision and policies. Hillyard discussed the comments with MSNBC host Willie Geist, who seemed to agree with Greene's premise.

“Donald Trump doesn't like dissent, even internally within his own campaign. Donald Trump is willing to throw anyone off a cliff,” Hillyard began.

“But I think in a way we understand that those attributes are somebody who is, you know, temperamental, cool. And a lot of his supporters think that's a strength,” he added.

“And it's difficult for these other candidates in this last year to regain that strength and another sound. But I wanted to let you know that I had the opportunity to speak with Marjorie Taylor Greene, the congresswoman from Georgia, in which I ask about the future of Nikki Haley and the Republican Party. Listen up,” he said as the clip rolled.

“This is a referendum on the Republican Party, and that's something I'm going to say in my speech tonight,” Greene said.

“This is a real game-changer for the Republican Party. It's saying we don't just support President Trump, we support his policies. And any Republican who isn't willing to adapt those policies we're completely eradicating from the party. So it depends of Nikki Haley, what does he do,” the Georgia Republican continued.

“We're eradicating them from the party,” Hillyard repeated in reaction to the clip.

“And she said she didn't think Nikki Haley had a future in the Republican Party or in a future Trump administration,” he noted.

“Yes, there is no ambiguity on Marjorie Taylor Greene's part,” Geist agreed.

“It seems that this is a last battle, that this is a moment,” he added. “If you look at it from the other side, that's Marjorie Taylor Greene's view. If you listen to Nikki Haley and particularly, frankly, Governor Sununu, who is a strong, strong advocate for her, that's a choice moment for the Republican Party.”

Geist warned there is “no going back” if “Haley loses the argument tonight.”

“It's Donald Trump's party and maybe Donald Trump's country again if he's elected president,” he concluded.

After the primary numbers came in, Greene announced to X that the “primaries are over” and Trump is indeed the GOP nominee.
