MSNBC's Joy Reid recently expressed concern over the lack of detailed information about former President Donald Trump's injuries during the assassination attempt.
Reid expressed frustration over vague reports about Trump's injuries. “We still don't know for sure if Donald Trump was hit by a bullet, if he was hit by shards of glass, if he was hit by shrapnel. We don't have those details. In fact, we don't have details from his doctor, although this man is still a protected secret service, you know, and president, candidate for president, we knew almost nothing. Why? Why don't we know that much?” she asked.

He continued, stating that there is little information available about the victims of the rally. “We know that three people were shot, one person, unfortunately, died in the demonstration. We don't know where they were sitting or standing in relation to him,” Reid said, pointing to gaps in the narrative presented to the audience.

Reid was particularly concerned that Trump would be allowed to stand during the chaos. “For nine full seconds, Donald Trump was allowed to stand up during an active shooter, an active shooter situation, even though at the time they had said the shooter, the shooter was down. How would they have known? How would they have known if there were more shooters or not? Nobody knew there could have been five shooters for all they knew,” he argued.
The MSNBC host also criticized decisions made by Trump's security detail. “However, they allowed him to stand up in the middle of this, you know, crisis, and pose for a photo, and fist pump the air so he could take the iconic photo, and then they allow you to lift yourself out of the SUV, instead of just pushing it into the SUV. That seems really unusual,” Reid observed.
Reid questioned the media's apparent lack of interest in digging into the details of Trump's injuries. “What is the actual injury to Donald Trump's ear that's under that bandage? Shouldn't we know by now? It's weird, and there doesn't seem to be much curiosity. You know, in the world of media, it's weird, right? Why doesn't the New York Times aggressively pursue their medical records? It's just weird strange thing that I've noticed, and I don't know if you've noticed too, but it's strange,” he concluded.
