In a recent exchange on MSNBC’s The Reid Out, host Joy Reid and former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich tried to sideline conservative concerns by suggesting that Republicans are using cultural issues as a distraction from an economic supposedly booming under Bidenomics.

Reid argued that Republicans are amplifying concerns about cultural issues such as the teaching of critical race theory and the role of radical ideologies in public schools because they are trying to divert attention from what she perceives as the success of “Bidenomics”.
Reich agreed with Reid’s assessment, stating, “They’re trying to divert attention from the fact that the economy is great. It’s a Goldilocks economy.” He continued to praise the current economic climate, despite many conservatives and financial experts pointing to rising inflation, supply chain disruptions and lingering economic challenges related to the pandemic.
After trying to dismiss conservative concerns, Reich quipped, “What do they want to talk about? Wokeism? What is that?” and expressed skepticism that most Americans are really concerned about left-wing ideologies being taught in schools.
