More than 1,600 scientists and experts sign letter saying there is no ‘climate emergency’

More than 1,600 scientists and other experts in their fields have signed a letter saying there is no “climate emergency” and that global warming hysteria has been discovered by extremists.

“We are not ‘activists’ as we do not have a political agenda other than better information to the IPCC, politicians, regulators and the public, so we hope that better future energy and climate policies will be delivered,” Jim O’Brien, who chairs the Irish Climate. Science Forum, he said The College Fix in an email.

The paper was published by Climate Intelligence, or CLINTEL, a group that aims to “generate knowledge and understanding of the causes and effects of climate change, as well as the effects of climate policy.” They released their statement “to counter the media’s near-universal narrative of climate catastrophe with objective facts verified by more than 1,600 independent scientists, engineers and professionals from more than 30 countries.”

Dutch farmers in the Netherlands have been participating in nationwide protests against their country’s new “climate” policies, which protesters say will prevent them from earning an honest living, The Federalist reports.

Dozens of farmers in trucks and tractors parked in front of major supermarket distribution centers in cities across the country on Monday hoping to cause mass disruption to the government. This blockade comes after a convoy protest from about 40,000 farmers took “the agricultural heart of the central Netherlands” by storm last week, blocking local roads and forcing vehicles into traffic.

Reuters reported that the demonstrations were in response to “targets introduced last month” by the Dutch government “to reduce harmful nitrogen compounds by 2030”, which authorities argue “are necessary in emissions of nitrogen oxides from manure farm animals and the use of ammonia in fertilizer”.

The Dutch government’s initiatives would undoubtedly destroy the careers of many in the country’s private agricultural industry, with the planned regulations “expected to include the reduction of livestock and the purchase of some farms whose animals produce grain amounts of ammonia”.
