According to the WastewaterSCAN Dashboarda tool that tracks infectious diseases within communities, mpox, formerly known as monkeypox, was found in southeast San Francisco on July 26, August 11 and 12 august

It is important to note that the source of these detections is unclear, meaning that it is not confirmed whether the virus originated from human sources.
The San Francisco database on the virus, titled “Mpox Data and Reports,” has yet to release any data from August. However, he records a case of smallpox in July.
In May, the San Francisco Department of Health advised residents to prioritize their sexual health as summer approaches, recommending full vaccination against chicken pox.
