This could be what some call “Democrats in disarray.” Looks like some Democrats have had it with Rashida Tlaib. They are tired of defending it. Again, these are Democrats we’re talking about, and they’re from their home state of Michigan. His behavior lately is even too far for them.
From the river to the sea is an aspirational call for freedom, human rights and peaceful coexistence, not death, destruction or hatred. My work and advocacy always focuses on justice and dignity for all people regardless of faith or ethnicity.
— Rashida Tlaib (@RashidaTlaib) November 3, 2023
This is the nonsense Tlaib would have Americans believe. Hint: it’s Bologna.
Jews do not see the phrase “from the river to the sea” that way. This is not how Hamas sees the phrase “from the river to the sea”.
Hamas uses it as a rallying cry. And they don’t want to simply displace Jews in Israel. They want the death of the Jews. https://t.co/pRh8cU55if

So a fellow Democrat from Michigan is trying to explain to Tlaib that this is not how Jews hear this “battle cry.” He is politely explaining that it is offensive to Jews. Tlaib won’t care.
I am one of the 7 million Jews living in the US. All my great-grandparents fled the pogroms, the violent expulsion of Jews from Eastern Europe, to come here.
One of my great grandfathers came to Detroit via Canada, leaving behind siblings who were later shot dead by the Nazis in Poland.

He then explained the generational trauma his family has experienced.
.@RashidaTlaibI have supported and defended you countless times, even when you have said the indefensible, because I thought you were a good person whose heart was in the right place.
But this hurts a lot for many. Please retract this cruel and hateful comment. https://t.co/HBCf8jRgYo

Then Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, also a Democrat, chimed in.
When people show you who they are…
— Kathleen McKinley (@KatMcKinley) November 4, 2023
Best to stop defending Tlaib. She is not worthy of your defense.
You are a naive fool and should never have stood up for her. She wants you dead.
— Max (@MaxNordau) November 5, 2023
He won’t and I’ve defended him many times too.
— David Weissman ✡️ (@davidmweissman) November 4, 2023
And another Democrat, this time influential, intervened.
Breaking News: He is not a good person and his heart is not in the right place.
— Jay Bienvenu (@JayBienvenu) November 4, 2023
Some people are just sympathizers of terrorism and there is no defense for them.
Michigan state Democrats eventually spoke out against Tlaib’s bigotry, but most Democrats in Congress remain silent. https://t.co/ht7SX8v4EC
— AG (@AGHamilton29) November 4, 2023
This is different from many of Tlaib’s statements – you’re watching a prison break from Michigan Democrats condemning her https://t.co/mC2F5QwaYY
— Blake Allen (@Blake_Allen13) November 4, 2023
Michigan Democrats have worked their nerves. Will other Democrats finally break ranks and call out their nonsense? Only time will tell.
