Michelle Obama comes out with a new election video with famous friends

Michelle Obama posted a video full of her famous friends urging voters to register and prepare for the November election.

The former first lady blasted conservatives in the video message as she reached out with phone calls to her left-leaning friends including Steph Curry, Kerry Washington, Megan Rapinoe, Shonda Rhimes and Chris Paul. And the topics raised such as “reproductive rights [and] the environment” were proclaimed as “our future” to decide “at the vote”.

“Are you voting this year?” Obama asked as each person answered his call in the When We All Vote video.

“Yes, absolutely,” replied retired USWNT player Rapinoe as others chimed in.

“Of course I am!” said Rhimes as country singer Reyna Roberts stated, “One hundred percent yes!”

“Obviously!” responded Washington and San Antonio Spurs point guard Chris Paul tells Obama, “You know.”

“Now it's your turn to answer the call,” Obama told viewers, reminding them that the election is “just 100 days away.”

“So are you voting this year?” he asked as the celebrity lineup stepped in to say, “Join us.”

Obama concluded by saying, “By registering and preparing to vote with When we all vote today.”

Billed as a “national, nonpartisan initiative,” When We All Vote was started by Obama and is co-chaired by highly partisan celebrity names like Rapinoe, Washington, Rhimes, as well as Lin-Manuel Miranda, Tom Hanks, Selena Gomez and others .

The co-chairs are described as “cultural leaders whose talent and experience span sports, entertainment, influence, media and more. They are united by a passion to change the culture of voting and increase participation in every election.”
