The View co-host Ana Navarro seemed to outrageously compare former co-host Meghan McCain to Hunter Biden when it comes to influence peddling on Thursday's episode.
McCain was not mentioned by namebut it seemed pretty clear that Navarro was referring to her when he talked about the first child, who made a public statement on Capitol Hill on Wednesday instead of complying with a subpoena from House Republicans.
The reference seems totally out of place considering that Meghan McCain was the daughter of the late Senator John McCain and was not involved in any scandal that benefited her. The same cannot be said for Hunter Biden, whose shady foreign dealings appear to have benefited his father and family as well as himself. He also has a penchant for prostitutes and drugs, something that cannot be said for Meghan McCain. The comparison surprised the other co-hosts.
The women of The View called out Hunter Biden for influence peddling and the appearance of corruption, if not for his actual commission. But Navarro went much, much further after stating how loving Joe Biden is to his son.

While discussing the investigation into Hunter Biden and the president, co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin said she thinks Hunter “engaged in corruption” but hasn't seen “one shred of evidence” tied to Joe Biden. That's when Navarro told him.
He stated, “Joe Biden's crime is being Hunter Biden's father.”
“Look at, he did Hunter Biden's influence peddling in your last name? Yes, he did. He also did half of Washington. The people sitting at this table did!” Navarro stated.
At that point, you could see confusion cross the faces of the panelists as Navarro tried to continue. They just couldn't let it go.
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin dared to ask him, “Who on this table put their last name?”
“I'm not talking about it at the moment,” Navarro replied.
.@The view it is a @ABC News program. I do not take it lightly when any news program suggests that I engage in criminal behavior, especially as a former employee of ABC News.

Co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Whoopi Goldberg got the reference immediately.
Navarro continued to defend Hunter Biden, noting in response to his tax rates that more than 15% of Americans cheat on their taxes. He then accused Republicans of trying to push him back into addiction.
“They are trying to get Hunter Biden back to addiction because they know it will cripple Joe Biden because this is their father, a man who has already lost two sons, and I think that will backfire on the Republicans,” Navarro said. “Yes, Hunter Biden did things bad when I was addicted, but enough is enough and they are being cruel. They're going after him just because he's Joe Biden's son.”
The exchange and accusation drew Meghan McCain's attention to X and she proceeded to let loose with a vengeance.
I don't understand why my former colleagues @TheView @ABC bring me up and slander me almost every week. Years have passed; go ahead i did it.
I have never been charged with a crime in my life and I am a patriotic American – I would never have “influenced” or “influenced” my life, let alone foreign adversaries. Not all political kids are created equal, and I'm not Hunter Biden.
All allegations are absurd, defamatory and slanderous.
I will consult my lawyers about what was slandered against me on The View this morning.
