Meghan McCain is in a fighting mood after being accused of “essentially joining the Trump train.”
It all started when reporter Rachel Janfaza tweeted that Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential bid was an “Obama moment” for many young voters.
“I hear from a number of young voters (who were not old enough to vote in 2008, 2012, and in some cases even 2016) that the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris is their 'moment Obama,” he wrote.

McCain retweeted the message and asked newspapers to “calm down.”
“You need to calm down. He has a lower approval rating than Biden and it's been 48 hours since he resigned,” McCain said.

Pretty standard sentiments, right?
Among media pundit and former military intelligence collector Malcolm Nance, who accused McCain of betraying his own father's memory.
“SHAME: Megan McCain betrays her father's memory by essentially joining the Trump train. No honor. No class,” he retweeted.

This sent McCain into a frenzy, as expected.
“I'm a double hater voter. My dad thought both Trump and Kamala were jerks, there's video footage of him saying that. Also, screw yourself,” she said.

X users intervened in the verbal fight:
So you can vote third party at least your father would never vote Trump

These were your father's beliefs: make your own decisions.

I guarantee your dad would support Kamala over Trump, though, and you know it.
Stop supporting a man who disrespected your father, he would be disgusted.

You know, maybe he's a public figure, but it was a low blow. As a retired military man myself: I despise this political tactic. You have NO honor to use it. shameful No honor, no class…

You are amazing and I think you are between a rock and a hard place because of who you are. I think your dad would be very proud of you for voting for who you think will be best for our country…even if it's Trump.

you must not hate whom your father hated.
I would vote for RFK if I didn't like the big party options.
