Shared by NewsNation's Joe Khalil on social media platform X, the video captured the moment Gaetz tried to interrupt McCarthy as the former speaker addressed viewers.
Khalil described it as a “very awkward moment” where Congressman Gaetz mocked McCarthy during the interview.

The video shows Gaetz walking up to McCarthy and asking, “Hey Kevin, what night are you talking about? Are you talking about tonight?” Despite attempts to redirect the conversation, Gaetz persisted in his line of questioning.
With tensions rising, Gaetz made a bold statement, suggesting that if McCarthy took the stage, she would face a less than warm reception from the audience. “If you got on that stage, you'd get booed,” Gaetz said, repeating his prediction for emphasis.
