Masked teenagers point gun at 14-year-old boy’s head on school bus, then beat him when gun jammed 3 times

A shocking incident involving a school bus in Maryland Monday afternoon was caught on surveillance video.

The bus was dropping off children from Prince George’s County Alternative Middle School in Suitland, an unincorporated community of about 25,000 people about a mile from Washington, DC.

Three masked teenagers boarded the bus after it stopped and a girl got off, leaving a 14-year-old boy as the last passenger.

One of the teenagers pointed a gun at the boy’s head and pulled the trigger. When she jammed, the assailant pointed at her chest and pulled the trigger two more times.

The gun jammed each of the three times.

Police said they found three live rounds in the bus.

After the gun jammed, the 14-year-old was beaten.

When the three teenagers fled after the beating, the driver moved the bus to safety.

Martin Diggs, head of the bus drivers union, described the incident to WLS-TV.

“They pulled the trigger three times, but for some reason, by the grace of God, the gun didn’t go off and the bullets came out of the gun,” Diggs said.

WLS reported that multiple sources confirmed the incident was caught on surveillance video.

Diggs said the bus driver is afraid to return to work after the incident and fears retaliation from the assailants. Ask for more security.

No arrests have been made in the shocking incident, but a spokesman for the Prince George’s County Police Department said they are actively looking to identify the attackers.

Police said the 14-year-old suffered minor injuries.

“We are outraged as a district. Appalled that this incident happened,” said Charoscar Coleman, an associate superintendent for the district.
