Mark Kelly is considered the top contender for Harris' veep, but there's a “bigger” problem.

Vice President Kamala Harris has already been crowned by her party and the media as its presumptive nominee and now attention is shifting to her running mate, with one name at the forefront.

Needing a token white man to offset his racial radicalism, Harris is reportedly zeroing in on Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), a gun-toting former astronaut who could deliver a key swing state.

Verification materials have reportedly been sent to Kelly, a favorite of front-runner Barack Obama, who was reportedly the former president's choice to head the Democratic ticket until he was thwarted by the immediate endorsement from Joe Biden to Harris.

But there is one problem with Kelly, which could be a big one. He co-founded a company that makes high-altitude spy balloons that used funds from Chinese investors. A detail “buried” at the bottom of a long New York Times puff piece touting Kelly's “almost impossibly strong” resume.

“Mr. Kelly also hasn't faced the harsh spotlight of a national campaign and has potential political liabilities like a high-altitude surveillance balloon company he helped found with Chinese venture capital,” GOP operative Daniel Scarpinato was quoted as saying by the newspaper .

Last year, when a Chinese spy balloon was allowed to fly nearly halfway across the US, Axios pointed to Kelly's ties to Chinese money.

“Tucson-based World View, co-founded by now-U.S. Senator Mark Kelly in 2012, received venture capital from Tencent, among China's largest technology companies, in both 2013 and 2016,” he say the medium reported. “Tencent, like most Chinese tech giants, has close ties to the Chinese Communist Party.”

Those ties could be a major obstacle for Kelly and will almost certainly serve as fodder for Republican ads.

Like all Democrats, Kelly has his priorities straight when it comes to Ukraine, the notoriously corrupt Eastern European dictatorship that has been a sucking black hole for American taxpayer dollars under the Biden regime .

Kelly took aim at his Senate colleague and Trump running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), for daring to put America first over the foreign country that is the top priority for the ruling regime, and most Republicans in Congress as well.

“It's pretty clear to me that you've got JD Vance who wants to leave Ukraine entirely, and you've got Donald Trump who in the past has been rather pro-Russian and has sided with Vladimir Putin in a way that I would never expect the president to . do,” Kelly said Politician, with Vance as a Kremlin puppet. “So again, we have a serious decision to make, and I would be very concerned about what these guys would do to abandon an ally for an adversary. And that would be a much more dangerous world.”

Kelly would be a logical choice if Democrats are planning the national crackdown on the Second Amendment they have long sought to impose. His wife, former congresswoman Gabby Giffords, nearly lost her life when she was shot in the head by a deranged gunman at an Arizona grocery store in 2011 during a deadly mass shooting.

For this reason, the Democrats and their media will do everything they can to gloss over Kelly's Chinese ties, just as they have worked diligently to erase failed “border czar” from Kamala's resume.
