Marjorie Taylor Greene wants Lindsey Graham's primary challenger for Biden's impeachment declaration

U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) took a very public jab at Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), asking him to take the lead in expressing skepticism about President Biden's impeachment.

On Sunday at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest conference in Arizona, Greene took direct aim at Graham in response to her appearance on “Meet the Press,” where she told NBC's Kristen Welker that she “hasn't really paid much attention” to the House. Republicans investigating the president's involvement in his son Hunter Biden's allegedly corrupt business dealings.

“If there was a smoking gun, I think we would talk about itGraham stated.

He stated that “the narrative that Hunter Biden presented is collapsing” and that he “wasn't concerned about impeaching the president right now.”

This angered Greene, who lashed out at the moderate Republican while on stage.

“How can Lindsey Graham, in Washington, DC, on Meet the Press, say that he hasn't seen a smoking gun of evidence, that he doesn't think we've produced enough evidence to impeach Joe Biden? Let me ask the American people, do you think we produced enough evidence to impeach Joe Biden?” Greene asked the conservative gathering who loudly answered in the affirmative.

“Well, I think somebody better is running for senator in South Carolina,” Greene said with a laugh, in a not-so-subtle call for Graham to be in the primary.

Greene and Graham both support former President Trump, but that's about all they have in common.

Like the impeachment inquiry moving forward, Graham may find himself even more unpopular after his remarks on “Meet the Press.”

“The House voted last week to formally authorize its impeachment inquiry into Biden in a 221-212 party vote, with Republicans arguing that a formal authorization vote would strengthen their legal arguments to compel testimony and documents”. the hill reported

“The multi-pronged impeachment inquiry includes deep investigations into the personal and business finances of members of the Biden family, as well as a thorough scrutiny of a Justice Department investigation into his son's failure to pay taxes” , the medium added.

“Last week, Hunter Biden… son of the president whose foreign business activities are at the center of the House GOP investigation: He defied a subpoena from the House Oversight Committee by refusing to testify in a closed-door statement instead of publicly, which prompting the Republicans leading the investigation to pledge to hold him in contempt of Congress. ,” The Hill noted.

In September, Graham was booed loudly at a Trump campaign rally in South Carolina.

“I'll tell you what. When I need help on the left, he's great. He's great, and he's also my friend. Lindsey Graham, wherever you are. Lindsey?” Trump asked, and the crowd responded by booing loudly, expressing their dislike for Graham.

It should be noted that Graham is not up for re-election until 2026.
