MANIPULATED climate maps to fool people and keep the ‘global warming’ scam going – Discern Report

The climate maps published by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) appear. to have been manipulated to deceive people and keep the “global warming” scam going.

In May, NOAA released what it called “very informative” climate maps showing the average temperature worldwide in April 2023 compared to normal weather. However, the Swedish news media New Times noted that the agency’s two parallel maps contradicted each other, even though they used absolutely the same measurement data. Both maps also depart from official temperature records for many countries for that month, which showed a cooler-than-normal spring.

The first map published by NOAA shows changes in land and sea temperature from the average in April, where the average is calculated from the 30-year climate norm, in this case the period between 1991 and 2020. It is classified on a scale with an accuracy of 0.5 degrees, showing colder deviations in blue tones, neutral deviations in white and blue. This map is usually used by climate researchers.

The second map, which NOAA published on the National Centers for Environmental Information website, is used by the mainstream media when reporting on climate. This “media friendly map” does not mention temperatures, percentages or any actual values. Instead, undefined temperatures are contrasted with an average, which is also not clearly specified, unlike the “researcher version” of the map.

Seeing Red: NOAA’s media map is “warm” all over

It’s worth noting that unlike the first map provided to researchers by NOAA, the second map is almost entirely red. The weaker blue tones are very grey, giving the illusion that everything looks warmer and nothing cooler. It has given the misleading impression that April is warmer than normal, even in parts of the world where official data shows otherwise.

Global cold and snow records have been set for both the winter and spring seasons. All continents have experienced cold and precipitation that differs substantially from the so-called normal climate, which is the average of identical measurement data over three decades.

A recent detailed examination of April and May temperature, snow, and ice data from around the world found numerous interesting variations. In addition, the winter season’s snowpack and the amount of water bound in the Northern Hemisphere are considerably higher than normal.

According to the Canadian climate authority Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), its own statistics revealed that the amounts of water locked in the snowpack of the Northern Hemisphere at the end of April this year total about 2,600 cubic kilometers. The norm is only about 1,600 cubic kilometers.

This indicates that this winter was more than 60 percent snowier than the norm for the period between 1998 and 2011. In at least 13 states, many of them in the southern United States, snow covered areas between two and 4.5 times wider than normal.
