Madonna is being sued by two of her fans who decided to take the aging queen of pop to court over her lateness to a recent show on her “Celebration Tour” that started two hours later than announced.
New York City residents Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden filed a class-action lawsuit in federal court in Brooklyn claiming that Material Girl's December 13, 2023 performance at the Barclays Center, which was scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m., it didn't start until Madonna took the stage around 10:30 p.m.
The class-action lawsuit accuses Sexy Seniors, Barclays Center and Live Nation of “unfair, unfair and/or deceptive business practices,” Fox Business. reported.
According to the lawsuit, the pair of fans claim they were “faced with limited public transportation, limited ridesharing, and/or increased public and private transportation costs” as a result of the show ending after midnight and that when they left the arena, they were “stuck” and had to work the next day.

The lawsuit says the delay in the start of Madonna's show was a “breach of contract” as well as a “brazen exercise of false advertising, negligent misrepresentation and unfair and deceptive trade practices.”
“Madonna had demonstrated an unabashed difficulty in ensuring a timely or complete performance, and the defendants were aware that any statement regarding the start time of a show was, at best, optimistic speculation,” the filing states. , noting that the superstar has a “long life.” history of arriving and starting their concerts late,” including the other two shows at the Barclays Center on December 14th and 16th.
a source he said People magazine cited “problems during sound check that caused the schedule to be delayed by an hour,” and when the December 13 show began, the 14,000 fans in attendance were treated to a rousing performance that ” went off without a hitch as she sang a range of hits from her decades-long career,”
The 79-show tour, which includes elaborate set pieces and is saturated with standard sexual themes, was postponed from its summer run as the star battled a serious bacterial infection, but the American leg began with the trio of shows at the Barclays Center.
According to a December 1, 2023 announcement in Madonna's official web site: “After months of anticipation and anticipation, cultural trailblazer Madonna kicked off her massive The Celebration world tour last month with six sold-out shows in London at The O2.
