The liberal media focused on former Oklahoma Republican Sen. Jim Inhofe's views on climate change in obituaries following his death on Tuesday.
Inhofe death at the age of 89 after falling ill unexpectedly while on holiday. Several news agencies, including The New York Times, Politicianand the Associated Press – referred to the late senator's stance on climate change in its headlines.
The NYT headline to read “James M. Inhofe, Senator who denied climate change, dies at 89”. She also referred to him as “probably Washington's most prominent denier of the established science of man-made climate change.”
Politico originally published the headline “Former Sen. Jim Inhofe, who called climate change a 'hoax,' dies at 89.” seconds in screenshots posted on X, formerly Twitter. The current headline, however, refers to Inhofe's Senate career as “marked by the fight against climate science,” and the article describes him as “a proud critic of the overwhelming scientific consensus on change climate caused by humans”.
“Headlines are regularly A/B tested and activated in rotation, based on a number of factors, including engagement,” a Politico spokesperson told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
One of these guys was a member of the KKK, another left a young woman to die in a car crash. The third threw a snowball on the Senate floor once.

The AP wrote in its headline that Inhofe “called man-made climate change a 'hoax'” and wrote that he was known for “his denial that human activity is responsible for most of the climate change”.
Inhofe said during a 2005 Senate speech that “much of the global warming debate is based on fear, rather than science.”
“In a nutshell, human-induced global warming [is] an article of religious faith for radical far-left alarmists,” he said.
The New York Times and The Associated Press did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
