Rekindling a feud saw Keith Olbermann on the wrong side of a ratio after Riley Gaines summoned Lia Thomas to put him in his place.
So far, the former MSNBC commentator managed to wrangle more than 2 million views by simultaneously expressing concern about monkey pox and taking a jab at the champion athlete turned women's rights advocate.
The former NCAA swimmer had reacted at the time of a report about the World Health Organization's declaration that the virus was a public health emergency when she said: “In other words, there is an election upcoming”.
Unwittingly, Olbermann responded to Gaines' post: “Oh, shut up, third-rate jock. Adults are dealing with a real problem, not your paranoia.”
That's when the Outkick host got the often furious commentator tenfold as he went back to the beginning of his gripe with her and claimed: “Keith, Lia Thomas is not going out with you, mate.”

The callback referred to an August 2023 effort by Olbermann directed at Gaines, whom he claimed X “sucked swimming” in response to her advocacy of a “Women's Bill of Rights” .
“Can you address reality and move beyond it?” he asked himself.
The reality was that in March 2022, Thomas, a biological male with permission to compete in the NCAA Division I Women's Championship, had finished first in the 500-yard freestyle before being nominated for the championship. 2022 NCAA Woman of the Year award Gaines' willingness to speak out against gender ideologues had included congressional testimony after a talk at San Francisco State University had led to protesters forcing him to take refuge in an office he described as a “prison” for hours.
At the time, Olbermann had captioned a rant: “Second team conference. Luckily for the obnoxious, stupid, unsuccessful transphobe @Riley_Gaines_, she doesn't have a reputation to ruin,” prompting Gaines to react with a video showing his trophies and awards which included the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, three SEC and All-SEC titles. first team

He later commented on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” “I very proudly finished my career as a 12-time All-American, five-time SEC champion, SEC record holder, Academic Athlete of the Year the SEC Community Service Leader of the Year (can I go on) and it's like this old man wants to attack me? He's still living with his mother in the basement. I had to ask my dad, 'Who is it this guy?' I don't even know who he is.”
Not finished decimating the commentator, he took another shot as others chimed in with their own comments: “If you think I'm a third-rate athlete, what makes Lia Thomas 462nd in her legitimate category, lol.”

are we sure Feels like Olbermann after a date here. He's single, never married, maybe men impersonating women is his speed. It would be super transphobic of him not to date Lia as well based on his belief that Lia is a woman.
