A bar owned by Rep. Lauren Boebert’s apparent new friend has hosted at least one drag show, according to a review of social media posts.
In January 2020, Aspen Gay Ski Week hosted “an evening of cocktails, appetizers and laughs” at Hooch, according to a facebook post at the time.
Gallagher, a Democrat, was caught on video putting themselves into play with Boebert, apparently grabbing her breast while appearing to rub her crotch as the pair performed a performance of “Beetlejuice” and the Buell Theater in Colorado.
The two have reportedly been dating under the radar for months.
Boebert, who also has one long history of arrests — has come out as one of the most anti-LGBT members of Congress and a harsh critic of children who are exposed to drag entertainment.
“Take your children to CHURCH, not to drag bars,” she exclaimed to X, the website formerly known as Twitter, in June 2022.
He has also attacked the use of drag queens for military recruitment.
“Do our military leaders understand that China and Russia see these things and prepare accordingly? We need an unawakened military. Better yet, an anti-awakened military,” she said in May.
“I am a Christian. So they can try to bring me to my knees, but that’s where I’m strongest,” she offered in another declaration of mercy from July 2020.
Many online commentators mocked the disparity between Boebert’s public and private life.
“And definitely don’t take it [kids] to see Beetlejuice (especially when you’re in the audience),” the head of the Democratic National Committee Jaime Harrison said.
Star Trek actor George Takei added: “Rep. Lauren Boebert, who urged parents to take their kids to CHURCH, not DRAG SHOWS, was caught at a public performance of Beetlejuice, a children’s show, groping and being groped by her date. I’ve had it with their hypocritical moralizing. They have no right to judge or limit ANYONE else’s private life.”
