LATEST: Douglass Mackey Talks Jail Sentence Over Hillary Clinton Disparaging Meme, Details FBI Raid 7 Days After Biden Inauguration | The Post Millennial

-

Douglass Mackey was arrested, tested and condemned by a meme. He has been sentenced to 7 months to prison for sharing a joke on Twitter about Hillary Clinton and her voters, before the 2016 election.

While his alleged crime was in 2016, he wasn’t arrested until 7 days after Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2021. The FBI arrived at his home at 7:30 a.m., dragged him out of the house with handcuffs and did it. i don’t even tell him why he was arrested until they fixed him up in court. He told Tucker Carlson all this.

For Hillary Clinton, who celebrated Mackey’s arrest, Mackey’s prank went “from what would be considered free speech … to making a very deliberate effort to mislead people about where and how to vote. So that went from speech to action aimed at subverting the election, because thousands of people they targeted through their algorithms, “oh, I could send my vote to Hillary Clinton.”

Mackey posted the meme because he thought it was funny. During its trial, the Justice Department failed to produce a single person who was a “victim” of this meme. Hillary Clinton voters posted very similar memes, advising Trump voters to vote by text. None of them were arrested.

However, Mackey was found guilty with charges of electoral interference. A fundraiser has been launched for his legal fees.

The meme in question

Carlson appealed the crime with Mackey, calling it a violation of the First Amendment. Mackey said there was an outpouring of support from the American people, though not from the ACLU, that encouraged his arrest.

“I think they don’t care too much about the First Amendment anymore,” Mackey said.

“You were convicted based on what they said was your intent,” Carlson said.

Mackey agreed. However, he was accused of conspiracy against the rights, electoral interference, and these allegations were strengthened and encouraged by more leftist media intent to punish a Trump supporter. It was Mackey’s doxxing of Huffington Post reporter Luke O’Brien that led to his arrest and conviction.

Mackey said he hopes the sentence will be an opportunity because “there is something redemptive in suffering.”
