In a heated exchange during Wednesday's press conference, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre found herself on the receiving end of tough questions from Fox News senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy.

The sharp investigation centered around Joe Biden's decision to withdraw from the 2024 race, with Doocy worrying about Biden's cognitive decline and suggesting a cover-up by White House officials.

“It appears that people in this White House knew that President Biden was on the run and that he was hiding from the American people,” Doocy pressed. “So who ordered White House officials to cover up for a declining president?”

Jean-Pierre denied the allegations: “Wait. First of all, there has been no cover-up. I want to be very clear. I know this is the narrative you all want…

Despite her attempts to answer, Doocy interjected, further fueling the heated exchange that developed between the two.

Finally, Jean-Pierre reiterated his denial of any cover-up and invited Doocy to listen to Joe Biden's “incredibly powerful and important” address from the Oval Office later that evening.

Interestingly, the exchange took an unexpected turn when Doocy asked Jean-Pierre about his own well-being amid the recent news cycle. “How are you doing with all this?” he asked, apparently catching the press secretary off guard.

Laughing, Jean-Pierre replied, “Do you care how I feel?”

Doocy didn't stop there and pushed further by asking if Jean-Pierre planned to stick around for a possible “President Harris administration.” Jean-Pierre replied: “Oh my God. So let me get through the day. Can I finish today?”

As the exchange drew to a close, Doocy pushed the names of Democratic officials who may have betrayed Joe Biden in recent days. Jean-Pierre's response was: “I have nothing more to say.”
