The British Neonatal Nurse who was accused of killing seven babies and attempting to kill six more was found guilty on Friday, officially making her one of the worst contemporary serial killers in the country’s history.

Lucy Letby, 33, was found guilty of the deaths of five boys and two girls between 2015 and 2016 at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Letby broke down in tears when the jury initially convicted her of two counts of attempted murder on August 8.

She refused to be in the courtroom for the subsequent readings of the verdict.

Letby will likely receive a mandatory life sentence, according to the Independent.
