Former ESPN sportswriter Keith Olbermann took a rather interesting, if not tasteless, route to reminding people that he once dated Katy Tur.
Olbermann found himself in a bit of a conflict with fellow leftist Ron Filipkowski over New York Times columnist Maggie Haberman. This dispute arose after Trump's former “fixer” Michael Cohen brought it up during his testimony at former President Donald Trump's criminal trial in Manhattan: the convicted liar talked about his relationship with Haberman, Tur and Chris Cuomo.
“What's really interesting is that when she decided not to make @KatyTurNBC a White House correspondent in 2016 @ChuckTodd took me out to dinner to try to talk me into becoming a @MSNBC anchor as a consolation prize” , Olbermann tweeted. “By the way, Ron Filipkowski has deleted his earlier tweet that I screenshotted because he should have quoted Cohen as saying he TRIED to get reporters to run positive stories about Trump. Haberman would be his first pitch; Tur and Chris Cuomo among others.
“I'll reiterate my earlier observation: At least I never lived with Haberman or Cuomo.”

The deleted tweet Olbermann referenced suggested that Cohen used those media sources to publish positive stories about Trump — Olbermann was quick to essentially preserve his liberal bona fides.
As is often the case when Olbermann speaks, things don't necessarily go his way…here's a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on social media platform X:
I love watching all you lefties eating each other alive. Keep it up. It's entertainment for many of us out here.

Small consolation, at least unlike Gavin Newsom, you don't face frequent reminders of being married to Kimberly Guilfoyle.

lol imagine your best name is @chucktodd . hey @KeithOlbermann , Chuck Todd has even more credibility than you. He is employed. You're not.

Keith with all due respect I don't think any company would take the risk of hiring you. You would be an HR nightmare in employee shared spaces.

Wow! What was Katy Tur doing with/for Keith? I've always thought he leaned well, but that doesn't sit well with Keith O. who is a progressive.
