He won 53% of the vote with most votes counted, defeating his primary challenger, Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb, who won 41% of the vote.

The upcoming Senate race against Democratic Rep. Rubén Gallego is expected to be a crucial contest that could affect the balance of power in the Senate.
Lake, a former news anchor, will face Gallego, who ran unopposed in the Democratic primary.
Senate Democrat Sinema left the Democratic Party last year to become an independent, and Lake's victory sets the stage for a closely watched race.
With former President Donald Trump's endorsement and a substantial fundraising lead, Lake has turned his campaign toward Gallego and the Biden administration.

Campaign financing records show Lake with $2.1 million in cash compared to Lamb's $263,000, while Gallego has nearly $8.2 million in funds.
