FAiling gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake congratulated former President Donald Trump following his CNN town hall for an “amazing job” done.
Lake appeared on Steven Bannon’s War Room show Thursday as a surprise guest, according to Bannon. Since it was the day after Trump’s town hall, Lake gave his take on how it went, including his perception that moderator Kaitlan Collins had an “obvious” bias against the former president.

“President Trump, he held his fire. I was very impressed,” Lake said. “You know, he was very kind considering what he was doing and how biased he was. There was no interest in just talking about politics and letting the people decide. It was definitely agenda-driven. Total upset. ”
The former candidate was quoting Trump when he called Collins a “nasty woman” during the town hall. It was a similar moniker he gave then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during their debate before the 2016 election. Lake went on to say that Trump did an “amazing job” and talked about a phone call he had with him in which he implied that he also thought that the council went well.

Lake has long been a supporter of Trump and has also been rumored to be his running mate in 2024 since clashing with former Vice President Mike Pence. The Arizona Republican has also been a vocal opponent of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is rumored to be running against Trump.
Arizona’s latest election challenge to Lake’s November loss to Gov. Katie Hobbs (D-AZ) begins oral arguments Friday. Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson on Monday ordered both sides to submit written arguments throughout the week.
