Sen. JD Vance, the Republican vice presidential nominee, did not hold back in criticizing the media and Vice President Kamala Harris for her recent comments about the prisoner swap with Russia.
Vance took aim at Harris for his off-the-cuff remarks made alongside Joe Biden at Joint Base Andrews in Camp Springs, Maryland, questioning the lack of scrutiny he faced from reporters.
It's amazing that reporters can look in the mirror as they let this person get a major party presidential nomination.
Will someone ask this person a question? https://t.co/KLGSn55n5g

“It's unbelievable that reporters can look in the mirror as they let this person walk away with a major party presidential nomination. Will someone ask this person a question?” Vance commented strongly on X.
Notably, Harris has yet to hold a press conference in the nearly two weeks since he was selected as the presumptive Democratic nominee following Biden's decision not to seek re-election.
Speaking to reporters, Harris praised the prisoner exchange, saying, “This is just an extraordinary testament to the importance of having a president who understands the power of diplomacy and understands the strength that comes from understanding the importance of diplomacy”.
