Vice President Kamala Harris came under fire Wednesday evening after her campaign announced she would unveil left-wing price control measures to reign in inflation.
Harris helped trigger the crisis three years ago when he cast the tie-breaking vote that advanced President Joe Biden's American Rescue Plan in the US Senate. Inflation rates soared just weeks after the bill was signed into law.
Harris is trying to follow in Biden's footsteps by continuing the Biden-Harris administration's policy of blaming “corporate greed” for the pain consumers feel when they shop — a cynical and dishonest ploy designed to prey on the emotions of people they don't understand the cause of inflation.
Harris will impose “first-ever federal ban on corporate price gouging” at grocery stores, left-leaning NBC News reporter Yamiche Alcindor posted on X. Harris will “impose tough penalties on the food industry,” the campaign said.
