(LifeSiteNews) – A Kamala Harris the presidency would be a threat to the religious freedoms of Catholics and the lives of babies conceivedCatholic leaders warn.
Vice President Harris is currently the Democratic Party's choice to run for president in 2024. Barring last-minute changes, Democrats will formally appoint her the first week of August.
His record of opposition to Catholics and Catholic values is raising concerns.

“A Kamala Harris presidency is a presidency of abortion extremism that puts thousands of premature lives at risk,” Barklage told LifeSiteNews in an emailed statement. “She is an unrepentant apologist for abortion, as she cannot name a single abortion that she would not support.”
“Unless he does a complete 180 on his position, which means losing the loyalty of his radical pro-abortion base, true Catholics who defend the sanctity of all human life have a vested interest in voting against him if she becomes the Democratic nominee,” Barklage said. .

“For Harris to demonstrate that he has no animosity toward Catholics, Christians, or even social conservatives, Harris would have to denounce most of his political career and completely repudiate and apologize for his bigoted comments,” he said.
But that would mean the vice president would have to “completely abandon her radical agenda against human life, the nuclear family, and religious freedom.”
“Harris has a record of a willingness to persecute pro-lifers and anyone who opposes LGBT ideologies,” Hichborn warned. “Carrying his agenda to its logical conclusion, Harris's America would eliminate not only religious freedom, but all freedom, turning citizens into automatons to do the bidding of the state.”

The president of the American Life League agreed.
“As someone who has watched Harris over the years, including his legal attempt to crush David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress, I can say from first-hand experience that Harris loathes the truth, starting, of course, with Christ and His Word, not to mention her. I appeal to premature babies and their advocates,” American Life League President Judy Brown told LifeSiteNews in a media release.
“Harris has never stood up for morality, ethics or truth.”
