Kamala Harris made an interesting comment during a speech about the supposedly devastating effects of climate change on Friday.

“When we invest in clean energy and electric vehicles and reduce the population, more of our children can breathe clean air and drink clean water,” he said to applause.
The White House has already “corrected” the transcript of the speech claiming that Harris meant “pollution”.

But Harris did not correct himself during his speech, and the audience applauded his message seemingly without slowing down the depopulation message.
Kamala Harris’ comments, whether scripted or unscripted, reflect a segment of the climate change activist community’s views on the issue.
In 2019, more than 11,000 “experts” signed an emergency declaration warning that energy, food and reproduction must “change immediately,” according to Bloomberg News.
Kathleen Mogelgaard, a consultant on population dynamics and climate change and adjunct professor at the University of Maryland, told the Canadian site CBC News that population does play a role in climate change.
“It is a very complicated and multifaceted relationship. Without a doubt, population issues are an important dimension of how society will develop, how society will be able to deal with this crisis over the course of this century,” said Mogelgaard.
“But it’s not a silver bullet, and it’s certainly not the main cause of climate change. And fully addressing population growth won’t, on its own, be able to solve the climate crisis. But it’s an important piece of the puzzle.” added.
But not all climate change activist groups agree on the population issue. The Union of Concerned Scientists, a radical activist group, has tried to dispel the connection between population and climate change.
“A misguided focus on population growth as a key driver of past, present and future climate change conflates increased emissions with increased people, rather than the real source of those emissions: an increase in cars , power plants, aircraft, etc. industries, buildings and other parts of our economy and lifestyles that rely on fossil fuels,” UCS stated. “Implicit in this flawed framework is the notion that all people contribute significantly to heat-trapping emissions. In fact, data show (PDF) that the richest 10% of the world’s population contribute 50% of emissions annual global warming.”
Harris, throughout his speech, engaged in unfounded alarmism about natural climate change and humanity’s relatively minor effect on it.
“And we’ve seen, in our country, where communities have been drowned by drought, they’ve been swept away by floods and they’ve been decimated by hurricanes,” he said. “Here in Baltimore, you’ve seen your skies darkened by wildfire smoke. And you’ve seen the waters of the Chesapeake Bay rise, threatening homes and businesses that have existed for generations.”
“It is clear that the clock is not only ticking, but is ticking. And we must act,” he said.
But a 2022 study, “A Critical Assessment of Trends in Extreme Events Under Global Warming,” examines the data and finds that claims about natural disasters due to climate change posing a threat to human life are very exaggerated Many types of natural disasters, from hurricanes to tornadoes, heat waves and droughts, have increased only modestly in frequency and intensity over the past hundred years or not at all.
“We must remember that addressing climate change is not an end in itself and that climate change is not the only problem facing the world,” the authors add. “The goal should be to improve human well-being in the 21st century, protecting the environment as much as we can…”
In fact, one of the most convincing proofs that nature does not pose a greater threat to humanity, but is actually much less, is the statistical fact that deaths from natural disasters have decreased by 99% over the century past
As Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) thoroughly explained in a recent hearing with climate czar John Kerry, the Democratic Party wants American taxpayers to foot the bill for a $1.6 trillion scam of dollars
Breaking: @RepScottPerry crushes @johnkerry on climate at today’s House hearing:
– “You want to spend $1.6 trillion on a problem that doesn’t exist.”
– Climate scientists are “getting like you.” pic.twitter.com/kaS6BKgu3h

Perry further accused climate scientists of “dodging like you.” Now that’s a serious burn.
