Buoyed by President Joe Biden's fast-fading success, campaigning mostly from his basement in the pandemic-scarred 2020 election, the plan of action to elect Vice President Kamala Harris appears to be to hide her in sight while promoting a campaign of joy.
Tapped in as Biden's heir apparent after he was reportedly forced out, Harris has a simple role: avoid the media as much as possible, repeat the same canned lines at campaign rallies and smile. many
A video making the rounds features almost identical comments made by Harris at rallies in Wisconsin and Michigan.

Harris in Wisconsin: “And many of you know, so before I was elected vice president, before I was elected United States senator, I was an elected attorney general and before that, an elected district attorney. And before that that, and before that I was a prosecutor in a courtroom. So in those roles, I took on all kinds of perpetrators: predators who abused women, scammers who defrauded consumers, scammers who broke the rules for a profit personal So listen to me when I say I know Donald Trump's type.
And in Michigan, he repeats the message almost verbatim. Speeches in Wilmington, Delaware, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, also featured the same lines.
The Obama machine is reportedly driving the Harris campaign bus after playing a central role in ousting Biden as the party's nominee. Hope has apparently taken a backseat to joy, even though, as Ben Shapiro reminds us, joy is “20% more expensive than when [Harris] took over.”
Thanks to Kamala Harris, joy (and everything else) is now 20% more expensive than when she took office. https://t.co/kZ4v89xpzi

So is the Democrat recycling its “discharged” line. of one of his keyword salads, trying to put a positive spin on what has been widely mocked.
“They taught us that we can do anything and that we should never be weighed down by other people's limitations of being able or unable to see what it can be,” Harris said at a campaign event in North Carolina, even replicating his old hand. gestures “And this is this community that understands and can see what is possible, without the burden of what has been.”
Harris answered a few questions from reporters Thursday for the first time since being anointed as the Democratic nominee by the Obama-Pelosi partnership.
Somewhat amusingly, the Vice President said that she may do an interview at the end of the month when asked – it's the first week of August. As the Trump campaign noted, Harris has not given a single interview or held a press conference since the presidential bid fell into his lap 18 days ago:
Kamala says she might be able to interview sometime before the end of the month (in 23 days).

Harris speaking to the media came AFTER Trump's running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) embarrassed her with the following stunt: After landing at the same airport she had just landed at the vice president:
I thought the reporters traveling with Kamala might be a little lonely since she never answered their questions, so I thought she'd come to say hello and see my new plane while I was there. https://t.co/OPEh0UKBDc
