Vice President Kamala Harris used the power of the law to advance the interests of the abortion industry as California attorney general, which pro-lifers and conservatives fear will reflect the priorities of her potential administration.
recently released videos of a citizen reporter who was undercover to expose Planned Parenthood's involvement in fetal tissue trafficking, and who was later investigated by then-California Attorney General Harris. turned on again criticism of its role in its processing. As prosecutions of pro-life activists have increased under the Biden administration, Harris' past actions raised concerns that his administration would take an even more aggressive stance, using the Department of Justice (DOJ) to target selectively to political opponents.
David Daleiden, the reporter who was attacked by Harris for his undercover Planned Parenthood videos, doesn't think it's a coincidence that prosecutions of pro-life activists increased after Harris became vice president. “I think it's a pattern for her,” he said.
“Her record shows that she is eager to arm the powers of her government office, no matter what level of government, in order to curtail the First Amendment free speech rights of those who disagree with her Daleiden told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “And even more serious, to do it on behalf of the very powerful special interests, like the abortion industry, who are their sponsors.”
While Harris was attorney general, his office launched an investigation into Daleiden and a raid on his apartment, where agents seized his computer and other records. seconds in the LA Times. Current US Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, who took over from Harris position as attorney general in 2017 after becoming a senator later loaded Daleiden and Sandra Merritt for using fake IDs and a shell company to secretly record conversations with Planned Parenthood workers.
Daleiden said the law under which he was charged had “never before been applied to an undercover reporter.”
“She weaponized this law selectively and exclusively toward me,” he said.
Daleiden's images have been sealed for years, but Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from July release of the unedited images cited by Congress ability CMP to repost the videos.
“I'm like, 'Yeah, I got like a leg for you!' I'm like, oh shit, if other people listened to me, they'd say you're an evil piece of shit,” Tram Nguyen, vice president of abortion access for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, said in a video released on Thursday, which Daleiden recorded at the National Abortion Federation's 2015 trade show.
Planned Parenthood has long denied selling fetal tissue, claiming Daleiden's videos were “deceptively edited.” In a 2015 letterPlanned Parenthood President Cecile Richards announced that the organization would no longer accept reimbursements for costs associated with tissue donation.
Planned Parenthood did not respond to a request for comment about the videos.
Harris has never answered questions about the content of the videos, Daleiden says. Since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race, he hasn't sat down for an interview or done any press conference.
“This is completely uncharted territory for her in terms of commenting on it or acknowledging it,” he said.
🧵 In 2016, @KamalaHarris I got hold of dozens of hours of my unreleased covert tapes.
Now that this evidence is finally coming out for the first time, it's clear @KamalaHarris he led a cover-up of late-term abortion crimes as California's attorney general.pic.twitter.com/3mY8PyJKTk

As California's attorney general, so does Harris supported and advocated a law, which was finally rejected by the Supreme Court based on the First Amendment, which required California pro-life pregnancy centers to advertise abortion services.
The Supreme Court found that the law “imposes an unduly onerous disclosure requirement that will curb your protected speech.”
“Dangerous to First Amendment Rights”
“The Biden-Harris Department of 'Injustice' has been weaponized against pro-lifers and political foes time and time again,” Rep. Bob Good, R-Virginia, told the DCNF, adding that the prosecution of Harris against Daleiden should “send a shiver down the spine of every American.”
“We'd be wrong to think he wouldn't do it again from the White House,” Good said.
Of all cases filed under the Freedom of Access to Clinics Act (FACE) between 1994 and 2024, nearly 97% of the 205 cases were prosecutions of pro-life activists, seconds in data previously provided to the Daily Caller by the office of Texas Republican Representative Chip Roy.
Additionally, a quarter of all FACE Act cases were prosecuted during the Biden administration. Only five of the 55 cases filed under the Biden administration involved attacks on pregnancy centers.
THE FACE to act prohibits the use of force or physical obstruction to prevent people from “obtaining or providing reproductive health services,” including pro-life pregnancy centers, and intentionally damaging the property of a reproductive health center.
In 2022, armed FBI agents raided the home of activist and father Mark Houck while his children were at home. Although the DOJ indicted him for allegedly assaulting an abortion clinic volunteer, he was ultimately found not to guilty.
Lauren Handy, director of activism for the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU). condemned to 57 months in prison in May after being her condemned under the FACE Act last year along with other pro-life activists to block access to a Washington, DC abortion clinic in 2020.
“Kamala Harris is personally responsible for protecting infanticide in our nation and the DOJ is deeply complicit,” said Terrisa Bukovinac, founder of PAAU. launched a bid to challenge President Joe Biden in the Democratic primary last year, he told the DCNF.
In March 2022, PAAU found five late-term aborted babies, who appeared to have been killed in partial-birth abortions, among 115 bodies of aborted babies in toxic waste containers at the Washington Surgi-Center in Washington, DC The DC Govt. okay with the request of Republican lawmakers to preserve the bodies for a further investigation in February after the DOJ supposedly approved its removal.
“One person's willingness to reject property and put their body between murderers and our babies will always be a threat to an administration empowered by genocide,” Bukovinac said. “The only real defense against fascists like Harris is nonviolent resistance, so FACE must be repealed and every peaceful effort must be made to remove it from power.”
Harris' choice for vice president, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, also has a radically pro-abortion record. In 2023, he signed a law declaring abortion a “fundamental right” in the state and signed an invoice that deleted a requirement to take steps that “preserve the life and health” of babies born alive after a failed abortion attempt.
Harris' willingness to prosecute pro-life activists indicates broader concerns.
“I think Kamala Harris as a public official is incredibly dangerous to First Amendment rights and civil liberties in this country,” Daleiden told the DCNF.
The DOJ has been widely criticized for perceived politicization under the Biden-Harris administration, including through efforts to rush a federal prosecution of former President Donald Trump before the election.
In June, the DOJ accused Texas surgeon Dr. Eithan Haim, who blew the whistle after finding that Texas Children's Hospital was still performing sex-reassignment procedures on minors, despite claiming it had stopped, for alleged violations of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
