Vice President Kamala Harris has a new communications chief who once served as Hillary Clinton's top aide and called for defunding the police.
The latest hire suggests Harris' intent to increase publicity ahead of the 2024 presidential election, but also raised eyebrows over the choice of Brian Fallon, who served as Clinton's national press secretary in her failed 2016 campaign.
Fallon recently stepped down as head of the far-left judicial advocacy group Demand Justice, which pushed to “pack” the Supreme Court by adding more justices and even brought in the former press secretary of the White House Jen Psaki as “Communications Advisor”.

The Biden campaign touted Fallon's hiring in a statement Tuesday, according to The Washington Post.
“Brian brings a wealth of experience and knowledge on the issues that matter most to the American people,” said Sheila Nix, Harris' campaign chief of staff. “We are thrilled to have him join the team and know he will be a great asset to re-elect President Biden and Vice President Harris.”
Days after the death of George Floyd in 2020, Fallon tweeted about defunding the police.

“During his time with Demand Justice, Fallon also enjoyed close access to the Democracy Alliance, a group of wealthy Democratic donors co-founded by George Soros that helps push the progressive agenda,” Fox News reported.
Fallon has also been at odds with President Joe Biden on issues like the federal judicial system, telling Politico in August, “We always think the White House could be doing more.”
“The president has a very old-fashioned institutionalist approach to the Supreme Court, where he doesn't want to be seen as actively undermining public trust, even if the court deserves it,” he said at the time.
“Fallon pointed to his past criticism of the Biden administration as part of his hiring process and pledged to fully support White House policies in his new role, according to people briefed on his hiring who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss personnel. matters,” according to The Washington Post.
Left-wing activist Elie Mystal declared he is “all in” on a Harris 2028 campaign with Fallon at his side.
All kidding aside…I'm ready now @KamalaHarris 2028. If people like Brian Fallon are in her ear now, that's all the confirmation I need that she's willing to do whatever it takes to deal with the Supreme Court.

In 2020, Fallon praised Mystal as one of the leading voices calling for ideas like Supreme Court reform.
“So that's when I first got to know Elie, and we did an event together in December of 2018 and we brought the house down with the storytelling that's on display here, right now, and that's when we decided to focus on this issue,” he said during a podcast in 2020.
