The president's special climate envoy, John Kerry, indicated his desire for the Biden administration to keep him in some official role for the foreseeable future.
Kerry vowed to maintain his public climate advocacy until his “last breath” amid his push for all kinds of regulations at the UN's COP28 climate summit. It is the third summit he has attended as Biden's climate czar. The event is one of dozens Kerry has attended since the start of 2021.
“As long as this is a crisis, I will organize and speak out and be active in meeting this challenge,” Kerry vowed during an interview with political Europe last week.
“Maybe in one role or another,” he said when asked about continuing his work with the Biden administration. “I intend to be a citizen until my last breath. And by that I mean that there are obligations of citizenship, obligations of responsibility and of speaking and fighting for values. Therefore, I believe that one should never turn one's back on this public obligation.”

COP28 ends this week in Dubai. The result of the climate confab is apparently a new international agreement that pushes for more aggressive and controlled commitments by nations on climate change. Kerry has led an American delegation that proposed several new initiatives Fox News.
“For example, the US ended regulations targeting methane emissions from the oil and gas sector and pledged to close all remaining coal-fired power plants,” the news outlet reported.
“It's safe to say that there will be literally hundreds of initiatives that will be announced, many of them coming from the United States, but also many from other parts of the world, and I think it will be a very exciting showcase of a global effort that is taking place, although it is not yet happening fast enough or big enough,” Kerry predicted at a press conference ahead of the start of COP28.
“What we are very clear about – and we will be promoting it in the next two weeks that we are here negotiating – is that we have to move faster,” said the leftist. “We need to be much more committed to this issue across the planet. It's still too much business as usual.”
Trump takes aim at John Kerry: “What an idiot”
John Kerry has to be stopped, he's destroying our country… Think about it, he's going around the world in a private jet, talking to these people about getting rid of coal plants. They all laugh at him, you know they treat him with… pic.twitter.com/KGMxL2KApQ— Camus (@newstart_2024) December 7, 2023
Kerry made his professed obsession with combating global warming clear to Politico Europe. We have to do something or we are obviously all doomed.
“The conclusion is that we have to do things because it is a crisis and life itself is at stake,” he denounced. “There are serious challenges right now.”
The climate alarmist, in his role as the president's special climate envoy, trots the planet in airplanes, using the diplomacy offered to push countries to dump fossil fuels in favor of green energy alternatives.

“He has also received criticism for using a private jet owned by his family. According to flight tracking data obtained by Fox News Digital in July 2022, a Gulfstream GIV-SP plane owned by Kerry's family making a total of 48 trips that lasted more than 60 hours and emitted about 715,886 pounds, or 325 metric tons, of carbon during the first 18 months of the Biden administration,” Fox News wrote.
“However, a month after Fox News Digital's report highlighted the jet's extensive carbon footprint, and after lawmakers criticized Kerry for apparent hypocrisy, the Gulfstream jet was sold to a fund of energy-focused coverage in New York City. State Department spokeswoman Whitney Smith confirmed the sale in a statement earlier this year and said Kerry is traveling on business in his current role.” point to the news outlet.

Kerry's talk with the Chinese Communists has also come under scrutiny from Congress regarding US national security and the economy. He has led the charge, declaring that the US must get rid of everything coal plants while the Chinese are producing new ones at a record pace second Reuters.
